Vevey, its history
is in the street!

Vibiscum, the Association of Friends of Old Vevey, was founded in 1989. Its aim is to bring together all those who love the town of Vevey for its past and also its future.

Since 1991, the Vibiscum Association has presided over the installation of 54 historical plaques on important monuments of the town’s history. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Vibiscum published a book in June 2019 of all the plaques, including additional information and previously unseen illustrations of the monuments and well-known figures of Vevey’s history.

At the same time, QR codes were put onto the 54 plaques enabling visitors to access the information and illustrations in the book on their smartphones, along with a plan of the town with the location of all Vevey’s historical plaques.

Enjoy your outing!
